H2S and Corrosion

  1. Bacteria in the sewage produce H2S gas.
  2. Bacteria on the concrete surface turn H2S, O2, moisture into Sulfuric Acid.
  3. Sulfuric Acid attacks the concrete.
  4. Concrete becomes Calcium Sulfate (gypsum), crumbles away.
